Resources

We want to provide you with some good food for thought along the way.  We are trying to grow up in our understanding of what we believe and why we believe those things.  Here are some resources to help clarify some of the important things we want to understand.

The Question Scripture is a big one for us.  We want to know if it is reliable and how we know that what we have is really the Word of God.  Here are two articles that will help both on the issue of the authority of Scripture (Authority/Inspiration), and the formation and importance of how we got the books in the bible that we have, which is commonly called the issue of the "Cannon" of Scripture

We are always asking the question of whether or not we are "okay" in an ultimate sense, and it is a question that both Christians and non-christians take seriously.  The gospel definititively answers this question in a way utterly unique to every other philosophy, approach or religion.  The hope of Jesus Christ and his obedience in life as well as his suffering of God's wrath on the cross and his death have satisifed God's concern for justice and have expressed his great love for making sinners "okay."  (Here)

A great look at the specifics of how God has loved us in the atoning work of Jesus Christ and how God has made peace for us. This is a great read. Horatius Bonar, God's Way of Peace

For a longer version of this with a lot of pastoral concern see Horatius Bonar's God's Way of Peace. (See Attached Document Below)
